About File Converter — PDF, Word & Markdown
Converting between PDF, Word and Markdown properly means translating structure — headings, lists, tables and links — not just extracting a wall of plain text.
How to use it
- Upload the document you want to convert.
- Choose the target format: PDF, Word (.docx) or Markdown (.md).
- Download the converted file.
Frequently asked questions
- Will the layout survive exactly?
- Structure survives — headings stay headings, tables stay tables, lists stay lists. Precise visual layout often does not, because the formats model pages very differently. PDF is a fixed page description; Markdown has no concept of a page at all.
- What about scanned PDFs?
- A scan has no text to convert, only an image of one. Run OCR in the PDF editor first to add a text layer, then convert.
